Provides shelter to men. Alcohol and drugs use is strictly forbidden. Residents must maintain sobriety on and off property. Residents expected to assist with daily functioning of house. Shelter capacity is 28. Transitional house capacity is 12. No pets of any type are accepted.

Application process

Individuals interested in seeking shelter must come to the center and complete an application M-F 9:00am-4:00pm. The case manager will schedule an interview with the applicant. If the applicant is accepted, they will be brought in based on bed availability.

Eligibility

Serves males, age 18 and older. Must not be actively abusing alcohol or drugs. A drug/alcohol screening will be conducted upon intake. Accepts individuals who are taking medication. Clients should bring at least a 5-day supply and must self-administer; staff serve as witnesses. Residents are required to work with a case manager to pursue individualized programs related to occupation, housing, and/or addiction. Clients are allowed to be employed. Length of stay depends on individual situation. The house will make referrals to transitional housing or other programs and will provide a "shelter letter," as needed. Exclusionary criteria includes sex offenders (the house is located near a school), history of arson/fire setting, and history of violent crimes.
