Provides a drive through facility at 1125 National Parkway for residents to recycle their household items. We accept aluminum and bi-metal cans, newspapers, office paper, corrugated cardboard, #1, #2 and #5 plastic, glass-that use to contain food or beverage, magazines, and books. The only thing that needs to be kept separated is Aluminum Cans, Cardboard-big quantities and Shredded Paper.

Charged with the following responsibilities: Reduce the amount of trash going to landfills from Richland County, increase the amount of recycling taking place within the county, meet all post-closure requirements of the Ohio and US EPAs at the closed Richland County Landfill, meet all the Ohio EPA requirements dealing with reporting for the county in the area of solid waste and litter control for the county. Offers year round collection of electronics, appliances and household recyclables at the National Parkway facility also the following programs: SCRAP recycling trailer, tire recycling, environmental education in the county, litter control within the county, Yard Waste Composting Facility, promotion of buying recycled, and other programs dealing with solid waste within the county.
