- Serves United States active military personnel serving in the National Guard or Reserves and Veterans. - Must have an honorable discharge if a Veteran. This includes dual Military/Veteran couples; each Military Veteran must have an honorable discharge in order to qualify for the program. - Cannot be a current home owner or mortgage holder. This includes any household member that would be residing in the home. - Cannot have a felony criminal conviction. This includes all adult household members that would reside in the home. - Must have supporting documentation such as proof of income, VA paperwork, DD214 (member 2, 4, 7 or 8), Military ID and or government issued picture ID in order to process the application.
- A copy of the DD214 (member 2, 4, 7, or 8) showing type of discharge or if active. - Active duty ID card. - Government issued picture ID. - Proof of all household income (SSDI, VA, Caregiver income, civilian income, CRSC and so forth). - Proof of injury (if applicable). - VA ratings. - Proof of savings.

Recipients will be required to pay any actual costs of property taxes, insurance, and homeowner's association fees. Once all program requirements including the requirements of the transition plan have been fully satisfied and the recipient is able to maintain and sustain the costs of the home, the property will be deeded to the recipient.

Description

Offers mortgage-free homes to active military and veteran families donated to Operation Homefront. Homes were previous bank owned homes. Provides case management with personal financial counseling to recipient families for up to two (2) years after moving into the home to ensure financial stability.
