Provides holistic programming that typically can last from 8-12 months. Programs have Christian focus. The long-term program consists of courses, intensive case management, on-site work activities, job readiness, and continuing education. Capacity is 166 beds. Shelter letters may be requested by outside agencies only, not by clients.

24 hrs a day, Long-term program is 8-12 months. Curfew is 9:00pm nightly or 7:00pm, depending on programming and applies to all shelter clients.

Application process

Phone anytime for intake or to ask questions. May not walk in for intake. There is generally a waiting list for placement in the shelter program (the waiting list varies greatly in length and can change daily). When temperatures drop below 20 degrees Fahrenheit with a wind chill factor, and rooms/beds are full, no one will be turned away.

Eligibility

Women, aged 18 and over, who are in crisis (family issues, emergencies related to housing, etc.) with children who are in crisis. Single women and pregnant women are accepted. Clients with mental health issues are accepted if compliant with shelter standards and deemed not a safety threat to themselves or others. Women with minor children and sons up through 17 years of age are accepted. Convicted sex offenders are not served.All participants are expected to participate in Christian activities. Those leaving prison may be eligible to be released directly to the transitional shelter program if they have been working with this agency while they were incarcerated. Emergency shelter accepts those who are currently working as long as they can comply with curfews. Shelter accepts service animals (dogs and mini-horses only) but no other animals.
