24 hours a day, 7 days a week. EV CarShare vehicles are located: - Oberlin City Hall Parking Lot (85 South Main Street) behind the Police Department - George A. Abram Memorial Pavilion (273 South Main Street) next to the bike path and behind McDonalds.

Application process

- Download the smart phone-based MOQO app to apply for the program and reserve a car. - Visit the website at www.cityofoberlin.com/for-residents/public-transportation/ev-carshare for more information, to view an informational video, or to download the app. - MOQO app also available from the Apple Store or Google Play Store. - To create an account, select Discover Offers Nearby from the main screen. Then choose Oberlin EV Carshare or Oberlin Student. - Once qualified, the app functions like a car key fob, unlocking doors to get in. There is no ignition key. - Return the vehicles to the charging stations where they were found.

Fee

- Drivers can rent one of two all-electric 2020 Chevrolet Volt cars for a fixed fee of $8 an hour. That includes everything from electricity to insurance and up to 25 miles of driving per hour. There is an additional 36 cents for each additional mile in that same hour. - NOTE: Because insurance is provided, a motor vehicle record check is required to start using Oberlin's carshare service. There is a one-time $12.50 fee to run the MVR check but once approved, one (1) hour of driving credits will be applied to your account.

Eligibility

Serves Oberlin residents or Oberlin College and Conservatory student with a valid driver's license, pending certain requirements.
