The son, daughter or spouse of a veteran who: died or became permanently and totally disabled in the line of duty on active service; a veteran who died from any cause while a permanent and total service connected disability was in existence; a veteran that is MIA or is a POW; a veteran forcibly detained by a foreign power. Dependent children must begin using benefits between ages 18 and 26.

Description

Offers educational benefits to eligible dependents of certain veterans. Generally provides up to 45 months of benefits to eligible participants. However, some eligible dependents may be able to receive up to 81 months of GI Bill benefits, if they qualify for multiple benefit programs. Can be used for degree and certificate programs, apprenticeships and on the job training. Other educational programs may be authorized under certain circumstances.
