Speech-To-Text And Transcript Service | Deaf Services Center
C-Print is a computer based "speech to print" transcription system used as a support service option for deaf and hard of hearing individuals. C-Print is most popular in the educational environment, however; it can also be used in business meetings, and seminars. A typist, called a C-Print captionist, types the lecture or meeting content into a laptop computer. The typed information appears on the consumer's laptop simultaneously, so the consumer can follow along during the class or meeting. There notes may then be e-mailed to the consumer for review. In addition to C-Print, other Speech-to-text programs can be used in order to provide captioning services on site or remotely.
