Lawyer Referral Services For Active Military | Ohio Attorney General

Provides pro bono (free) volunteer attorneys that offer legal assistance to personnel of the armed forces who are enlisted in the reserves or National Guard and are currently activated or are on active duty. Assists enlisted personnel and their families in exercising their rights under the Soldiers' and Sailors Civil Relief Act. Also, will provide legal assistance for wills, powers of attorney, living wills, and durable power of attorney for health care. Will not assist with legal matters such as divorce and child custody.

Application process

Appointment required. Call for intake. Will need to give full name, branch of service, full address, phone number, and type of legal assistance needed. Client will be contacted by an attorney or administrator in their area.

Open to residents of Ohio who are active duty military personnel or who are enlisted in the reserves or National Guard and are currently activated. Assists families of enlisted personnel.
