Senior Companion Program | Corporation For Ohio Appalachian Development
Places older adults in the homes of housebound adults and elder individuals to provide companionship, support and tasks of daily living that are necessary to help their clients maintain independence. Services may include light housekeeping, assistance with grocery shopping, meal preparation, and support to family caregivers.

Fee
No fee for service. Volunteers who meet income guidelines receive a small non-taxable stipend and mileage reimbursement.
Eligibility
Serves housebound adults age 21 years and older with disabilities/health conditions or adults age 60 years and older. To volunteer as a Senior Companion: Serves residents of the service area age 55 years and older at or below 200% of the Federal Poverty Level.
