3pm-4pm Third Tuesday of each month for program and distribution of baskets/toiletries or laundry/cleaning supplies. Participants must be in their seats and present during the entire program to receive a basket. Location: Wright UMC - 735 Mount Vernon Road - Newark.

Faith-based organization which offers encouragement and hope to those who are emotionally, spiritually, and financially disadvantaged. We serve persons who suffer from mental illnesses, drug and alcohol addictions, homelessness, and chronic poverty. Participants receive a basket of toiletries or laundry supplies after attending a one hour, monthly inspirational program. The cornerstone of each basket is a New Testament, or other book of scriptures. In addition, participants receive notes of encouragement, birthday greetings, and prayers. Soup, sandwiches, dessert are provided at the end of each meeting, followed by Bible study/discussion and a New Christian mentoring group for those who wish to stay.
