Open to men age 18 or older who are recovering substance abusers or are ex-offenders. Must be employed or have some source of income and have already completed a substance abuse treatment program. Will accept dual diagnosis. There is no geographic restriction. To move to the independent living apartments, must have been clean from substance abuse for at least a year, or have been successfully managing life outside prison for at least a year.
Release of information from substance abuse counselor if applicable.
Housing is 24 hrs a day, 7 days a week.

Phone M-F: 10:00am-4:00pm for information or to make a self-referral. Will accept written referrals from any social service agency - they should be faxed to Executive Director, who will then contact the potential client. Some clients enter independent living directly from the agency's transitional program and in some cases, ex-offenders may enter independent living directly with referral from probation officer.

Fixed fee per month, plus a deposit. Arrangements can be made so that deposit does not have to be paid all at once.

Description

Provides a 17-bed residence for individual men who need a sober environment to support their substance abuse recovery or a transitional residence after release from prison. Residents share in chores, must attend 3 12-step meetings per week (for substance abusers) or a mandatory weekly meeting for counseling (for ex-offenders), and are generally supervised by a house manager. Typical stay is 6 months-1 year. Twelve apartment suites are also available for those who are ready for a more independent living situation.

Includes a drop-in center, pastoral counseling and licensed substance abuse counseling, referral for services as necessary, sober housing and independent living. Also acts as a host site for various 12-step groups and operates a food pantry.
