Home Rehabilitation | Community Action Commission Of Erie, Huron, And Richland Counties
Provides a one-time grant for emergency home repairs or handicap modifications. The grant cannot exceed $5000 and can only be used once every five years (eligible on the sixth year from initial use.) An emergency repair is defined as "any physical improvement, adaptation or modification, which is not of a cosmetic nature and is required to remove imminent health and safety hazards". Helps with heating, plumbing, roof, walls, floors, windows, doors, electrical, structural, stairways, water heater, sewer leaks, and handicapped accessibility.

* Must own home (deed in applicant's name) * Must be at, or below, 200% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines * Must be current on property taxes, or enrolled in an approved payment plan to clear any delinquency * Home must be owner-occupied, no landlords **No guarantee of assistance, current waiting list approximately 5 years long, based on funding availability.
