PROMISECORPS | SPRINGFIELD PROMISE NEIGHBORHOOD

The PromiseCorps Literacy Enhancement program serves students in grades Kindergarten through third in four elementary schools in Springfield, Ohio: Kenwood, Lincoln, Perrin Woods, and Fulton, in addition to Kindergarten Readiness preparation at early childhood education sites in Springfield. Opportunities exist for both Springfield residents to serve as leaders providing one-on-one literacy support to children in the elementary or pre-school setting, as well as advocacy for parents and families to receive educational services and opportunities.

A community effort to address issues of generational poverty and children's success in the Springfield City School District. Primarily focused on the Lincoln Elementary neighborhood and additional elementary schools on the south side of Springfield, Ohio.
