Eligibility
  • To receive discounted fares, must be an individual age 65 and over, a person with a disability, or a person with a Medicare card.
  • No fee non-emergency transportation only applies to qualified rides such as medical appointments, pharmacy visits, grocery shopping and congregate meal programs that are authorized through Portage County Job and Family Services.
Required documents
For discount: Proof of age, disability, or Medicaid card.
Hours
  • Monday - Friday: 5:00am to 11:00pm.
  • Saturday: 8:00am to 7:00pm.
  • Closed on major holidays.
  • Note: Days may vary based on area served.

Application process
  • Call to schedule Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm.
  • Schedule Dial-a-Ride by 4:30pm the business day before the trip is needed, but may be scheduled up to three (3) days in advance.
  • Cancellations should be called in at least two (2) hours before pick-up time.
  • Call Portage County Job and Family Services Monday to Friday from 8:00am to 4:30pm to request free non-emergency transportation, if applicable. Non-emergency medical transportation must be scheduled at least 10 days in advance.
  • Applications for reduced fare for those with disabilities are available on website as well.
Fees
  • Fixed fee.
  • No fee for non-emergency transportation to qualified individuals with a qualified location who are approved through Portage County Job and Family Services.
  • Provides discounts to qualifying aged or disabled individuals using regularly scheduled route services or Dial-A-Ride door to door service.
