ADOPTION SERVICES | CATHOLIC CHARITIES CORPORATION

Provides adoption services for the Diocese of Cleveland. Serves birth parents considering giving a child up for adoption and potential adoptive parents. Evaluates children and prospective homes, and places the children for adoption. Provides counseling for those who are considering adopting or relinquishing a child. Provides home study and post-placement services for international adoption cases. Works to recruit potential adoptive families at many venues, and holds orientation/education meetings for these families.

Hours

M-F: 9:00am-5:00pm and other hours as scheduled. Four times a year there are 8-10 week orientation and training sessions for prospective adoptive parents.

There are fees for private infant adoptions of children who are in agency custody, and for international adoption services.

Eligibility

Open to anyone age 18 or older who is interested in adopting a child, and to anyone of any age who is considering relinquishing one for adoption. Adoptive families should have space and financial resources for an additional child, and a commitment to permanency for the child. Evaluates and places children aged 0-18. Serves Ashland, Cuyahoga, Geauga, Lake, Lorain, Medina, Summit, and Wayne Counties.
