ADULT LEARNER PROGRAM (ALP) | COLLEGE NOW GREATER CLEVELAND
Provides career and college counseling and financial aid assistance to those seeking help to begin or go back to college or post-secondary programs such as vocational schools or training programs. Counseling is given regarding career options and interests, colleges, the admission process, financial aid, the completion of forms, and scholarship searches. Offers financial assistance provided through three types of scholarships. Can counsel individuals on student loan debt and help find the best option to help pay the debt, such as Income Based Repayment plans, loan forgiveness options, and/or consolidation options. Will help with applications for those options. Note: Does not provide direct financial assistance.

Eligibility
Adults age 19 and older who reside in Cuyahoga, Ashtabula, Geauga, Lake, Lorain, Mahoning, Medina, Portage, Stark, Summit or Trumbull County who are no longer in High School. Must be acquiring admission to a Pell-eligible institution. Those who have been enrolled in college within the last five years must have a minimum college cumulative grade average of 2.5. Those who have not been in college for the past five years will not need to submit their grade point average. Will need to to demonstrate financial need.
