Prevention, Retention And Contingency (PRC) - Housing / Utilities / Appliances | Allen County Department Of Job And Family Services

Provides aid to families in the form of a voucher to buy items or pay for services that are emergencies and non-recurring and which cannot be addressed using existing community resources. Provides assistance with utilities (water, gas, propane and electric payments, deposits, and reconnect fees), rent or mortgage payments (no rental deposits), and appliances (stoves and refrigerators only). Maximum amount of assistance given is at the agency's discretion. All approved clients will create a budget plan with a caseworker and are required to watch an hour-long video about financial literacy.
