Description
Provides financial assistance programs including food stamps, Medicaid, cash assistance, and utility assistance. - Food stamps/SNAP: Issues USDA SNAP benefits that can be used to purchase specific staples and grocery items at participating grocery stores. - Medicaid is a state and federally funded health care program that provides assistance to certain low-income and medically vulnerable people. - Cash Assistance program for families with minor children and pregnant women in their third trimester who meet financial requirements. This program is time limited and may have work requirements as a condition of eligibility. Applicants age 16 to age 24 who are required to work will be referred to the Comprehensive Case Management and Employment Program for additional services and employment opportunities.
