- Individuals or families can apply for housing online by visiting the Akron Metropolitan Housing Authority (AMHA) website at www.akronhousing.org. Follow instructions for submitting a Preliminary Application. - Once a Preliminary Application has been submitted online, the applicant will be provided with a confirmation number as proof of the date and time of application submission. - When applicants are near the top of the wait list for any of the programs they selected, applicants will be notified by mail to attend an orientation and complete a full application. - Persons with disabilities needing assistance should contact the Akron Metropolitan Housing Authority Reasonable Accommodations Coordinator at 330-762-9631. - Call the Status Line to check an application's status on the waiting list for AMHA.
