Residents of Cuyahoga County, age 55 or older, with household income at 125% of federal poverty guidelines.
M-F: 9:00am-5:00pm.

Complete the online registration application at the OhioMeansJobs website (or visit the local OhioMeansJobs office if assistance is needed), then walk into the office of Center on Black Aging or phone M-F: 9:00am-5:00pm to discuss the program. May also check website for information. There is a waiting list for this service.

Description

Helps those minorities who are age 55 or older and of low income to improve the quality of their lives by obtaining paid employment and training. Individuals are placed in local non-profit agencies. Also will help in matters pertaining to housing information, health promotion and advocacy by giving referrals/suggestions as needed. Participants may be eligible for up to 4 years of employment.
