TOOL LOAN PROGRAM | COMMUNITY HOUSING SOLUTIONS

Loans tools to residents for use in home repair or maintenance. Provides instruction in tool use and care. Available tools include drain snakes, lawn and garden equipment, ladders, power hand tools, household tools and miscellaneous hand tools. Tools must be returned in a timely fashion and in the condition that they were borrowed in. Participants become members of the tool-loan library for two years.

Application process

Phone for information on program requirements or walk in to complete a confidential application M-F: 8:30am-5:00pm (there is no after-hours voice mail, must call during this time). Allow up to 3 days to process application before borrowing tools. Phone for reservations to be sure tools wanted are available. Cards must be renewed every year.

Eligibility

Aged 18 and over. Must reside in city of Cleveland. One tool loan card per household. Tools may not be used in any for-profit enterprise. Must be a member of the tool-loan program (membership is free).
