Open to residents of Cuyahoga County with or without insurance. Must have a new or refillable prescription. Eligibility guidelines vary with each program/medication. Cannot provide assistance with opioid-based pain medications or Medicaid co-payments.
Patients seeking prescription services should be prepared to give the name, strength, dosage, current out-of-pocket cost, and prescriber of each medication. Required documents vary by program/medication. Enrollment in discount programs generally require proof of income and insurance information.
Usually available 24 hours a day, every day, for screening by a 2-1-1 Community Resource Navigation Specialist and initial transfer to MedRefer line. MedRefer staff generally return calls Tu, W: 11:00am-7:00pm and F: 9:00am-5:00pm.
