Applicants must complete an application, interview, background check, and TB testing and must be minimum of 18 years old.
Driver's License and Social Security number are needed for background checks. Copy of auto insurance must be supplied and updated accordingly.
The next Volunteer Training Program will be offered in November 2019. Call for details.

There are no fees for the volunteer for any of the intake process or volunteer hours.

Volunteers are a valuable part of the Interim Hospice team, providing much needed companionship and social support during a difficult time. Volunteers also support the patients' families through respite coverage and can even help in our office with Administrative tasks. Some volunteer roles include: - Spiritual support - Veteran Support - Music/Arts Patient Biographer (record life story) - General Companionship - Respite for family (sit with patient to cover a break for a family member) - Administrative (light office work).
