Application process

Before filing, it is strongly recommended to contact an attorney or an agency that can offer assistance with the particular action to be filed. Information, forms, and assistance are also available through the Information Center at the Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court - Division of Domestic Relations. To file an action, walk in and go to the Filing Desk. If requesting a Poverty Affidavit, may ask for a form that will have to be notarized and returned here with accompanying documents. May phone or walk in for information during office hours or see the web site anytime.

Fee

Fixed fee for filing fees. Those who are low-income may be eligible to file a poverty affidavit, which may eliminate or reduce fees for a civil case.

Eligibility

Adults age 18 and older. Serves those with an open divorce case with the Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court - Division of Domestic Relations. Also serves those whose custody and visitation orders were determined by the Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court - Division of Domestic Relations.
