Attempts to control the occurrence of rabies by monitoring the incidence of the disease in bats, coyotes, skunks and other wild animal populations that are susceptible, locating and isolating animals who are suspected of having rabies, and locating and treating people who have been bitten by an animal who may have been rabid.

Contact the office by phone to receive quarantine and testing instructions. Then, download and complete an Animal Bite Information Form and return by fax.

Eligibility
Accepts reports from residents of Boone, Campbell, Grant, and Kenton counties who believe they may have contracted rabies or have come in contact with an animal that may be infected with rabies.
