TRANSPORTATION TO FOOD RESOURCES - PLAN PARTICIPANTS | MOLINA HEALTHCARE OF OHIO

Provides assistance with transportation to food resources. Covers up to 15 round trip or 30 one-way trips to food pantries and trips to pick up groceries from stores where members have placed an order. The number of trips is shared with medical transportation. Benefits also include non-medical trips to county job and family service redeterminations, and WIC appointments.

Application process

Trips must be scheduled 48 hours (two business days)up to 30 days in advance. During the COVID pandemic, Medicaid enrollees were not required to reverify to make sure they were still eligible for Medicaid benefits. The hold on these reverifications has ended and reverification reminder notices will be rolled out throughout the year. Enrollees should look out for reverification packets in the mail and report any address changes to their JFS office. Eligibility

Serves Ohio members of the health plan who are aged 18 and over. Members get 5 round trip visits and 10 one way trips. These are in addition to the medical transportation program.
