Open enrollment is annually November 1-December 15. But some may qualify for “special enrollment” if they have had a "qualifying life event," such as starting or leaving a job, certain changes in income, and/or changes in family size (for example, if they have marry, divorce, or have had a baby.) Note: Individuals must act within the first 60 days of the "qualifying life event" to qualify. Those not eligible for Medicare and who are curious about their public health insurance options. Individuals who have an income through 138% of the poverty level should consider getting screened for Medicaid before contacting the Marketplace or an assister.

Photo I.D., Proof of income, W-2 and/or immigration cards/papers, Social Security card or number Proof of address (utility bill) valid state ID or birth certificate, recent taxes/1099, W2, any other income, i.e. benefits letter, unemployment letter, etc. Immigration documentation and most recent documentation: I-94, Green Card, Work Authorization, Naturalization, Visa, etc. It is helpful (but not required) to have an email account with username and password set-up before meeting with an assistor.
