Post-release Services To Juvenile Offenders | Ohio Department Of Youth Services
Contracts with local agencies to provide services to youth released from agency facilities but still in the agency system. Services sought may include (but are not limited to) group homes, mental health services, counseling (individual and group), substance abuse services, sex offender counseling, or other needed services.

Agency publishes Requests for Proposal (RFPS) in the local newspaper 6 months before current contracts expire, usually January for programs expiring in June. Interested groups contact local staff for application details.

Provides juvenile corrections for the state of Ohio. Statutorily mandated to confine felony offenders, ages 10-21, who have been adjudicated and committed by one of the state's 88 county juvenile courts. Incarcerated youth engage in programming designed to address their criminological and behavioral needs. Each facility operates a year-round school that offers general curriculum and vocational opportunities.
