Providing one-on-one rental housing counseling as well as assistance in identifying a housing unit suitable for the client. Provides security deposit and first three (3) months' rent. Money goes directly to the landlord. House/Apartment will be located in Cleveland. Housing may not be part of CHN's low income housing units.

Eligibility
Those living in Cleveland or want to move to Cleveland at or below 80% Area Median Income (AMI). At risk of housing instability or homelessness due to an increase in monthly rent payments at current unit, eviction, termination of lease, or relocation due to housing being deemed unsafe/unsanitary. Cannot help with back rent. Cannot have received assistance through program within the last 3 years. Must demonstrate the ability to pay rent after assistance. Program is first-come, first-served and priority is given based on criteria such as eviction status, accurate information and complete documentation. May be required to attend more in-depth financial counseling, provided by CHN, as a condition for payment of the rental assistance.
