COVID 19 PAID LEAVE | UNITED STATES DEPARTMENT OF LABOR

Provides administration, enforcement of, and information about the paid leave provisions of the Families First Coronavirus Response Act (FFCRA) for eligible workers. Under this law, workers may be eligible for up to two weeks or 80 hours of paid sick leave at the employee's regular rate or the minimum wage (whichever is higher) if certain scenarios apply. Additional weeks of paid leave at less than 100% of employee salary may also be available if employees meet certain criteria.

Eligibility

Employees of private sector and most public sector employees (federal government employees are not covered) with 500 or fewer employees who meet the following: employee is under a government quarantine or stay-at-home order; employee has been advised by a health care provider to self-quarantine; employee is seeking a diagnosis for COVID-19 symptoms. Employees may also qualify for 80 hours of paid leave at 2/3 of their salary if they are caring for somebody under quarantine or a stay-at-home order or are caring for a child whose school, child care provider, or place of care is unavailable due to COVID-19. An additional 10 weeks of paid leave at 2/3 of the employees salary if the employee is caring for a child whose school, child care provider, or place of care is unavailable due to COVID-19, and the employee has been employed at least 30 calendar days.
