Application process

Appointment and application required.

Applications may be submitted by

  • Calling the CAA appointment line to register for a phone or in-person appointment.
  • Scheduling an appointment with CAA online.
  • Mailing a paper application, available at CAA and local libraries, to address listed on the application.

Note: An appointment with CAA is still required to complete the application.

Eligibility

Open to residents of Hamilton County with a household income at or below 175% of the federal poverty level whose household meets one of the following criteria:

  • includes a household member who is age 60 or older
  • includes a household member who has a documented medical condition
  • has a disconnection notice or has already been disconnected
  • is trying to establish new electric service
  • is enrolling in Percentage of Income Payment Plan Plus (PIPP) for the first time or have a PIPP default
