Provides tax reductions on land used for agricultural purposes. Farmland is assessed at its value for agricultural use, instead of its full market value, in order to ensure the economic viability of agriculture.

Eligibility

Serves Ross County. The land must be devoted EXCLUSIVELY to agricultural production. A farm must be at least ten acres in size or evidence must be provided that an average yearly gross income of at least $2,500 dollars from the sale of agricultural products was derived from it. The land is subject to a three-year waiting period immediately prior to enrollment before tax savings are initiated.
