Summer Crisis Program (EHEAP) | Muskingum County Community Action

The program provides assistance with Summer cooling (air conditioning and/or electric bill assistance) for elderly households that contain a member who is sixty years (60) or older, household with a member under age 60, households with a member who has medical condition (a prescription is required). PIPP customers are not eligible for electric help.

Application process

To set an appointment for the Summer Crisis Program, please call the automated phone scheduling system (IVR) at 844-493-1197 and choose option #2 or the hearing impaired IVR TTDY system at 702-676-1834.

Eligibility

Must be 60+ years old or have a documented medical condition (stating that an air conditioner/electric service will benefit the health of a household member). Gross total household income must be at or below 175% of the federal poverty guidelines.
