Applicants must:

• be a resident of Kentucky and a US citizen or qualified immigrant
• have no or low income. Current limits may be viewed online
• be unemployed or underemployed
• be a parent or relative caretaker responsible for children up to age 18
• have not already exhausted their lifetime limit for KTAP benefits (60 months/5 years in a lifetime)

,Medicaid eligibility is based on household income. The following groups are eligible:

• Adults between the ages of 19-64 with countable income up to 138% of the Federal Poverty Level
• Pregnant women with countable income up to 200% of the Federal Poverty Level
