JOBS FOR OHIO'S GRADUATES (JOG) | YOUTH OPPORTUNITIES UNLIMITED

Provides a class with a curriculum designed to teach pre-employment skills, to develop leadership skills, and to focus youth on graduating from high school and becoming self-sufficient. Topics covered include life skills, study skills, career exploration, decision-making, self-awareness, team building, problem-solving, work ethics, resume writing, and communication skills. Tutoring is offered as needed.

Hours

Students take this as a class period each day during the school year and generally receive course credit. Participation in class is multiple years. The Career Specialist is assigned to the client and will keep in contact a minimum of once a month for 12 months after graduation.

Youth, aged 14-18, (9th - 12th graders), who meet at-risk criteria, which will be determined at intake. Program serves youth in Cleveland, Maple Heights, and Warrensville Heights, if available in a school in that area.
