RICHLAND COUNTY 4-H PROGRAM | OHIO STATE UNIVERSITY EXTENSION
Youth are involved in hands-on experiential learning that allows learning by doing under the supervision of certified adult volunteers. All 4-H programs focus on active involvement and quality experiences which stimulate lifelong learning of values and skills. Within the local club and county program, there are opportunities for project work, public speaking, camping, county fair display, community service activities and leadership development.

Hours
Regular office hours: (subject to change). Mon 9:30 am-4:30 pm, Tue 12:30 pm -4:30 pm, Wed 9:30 am-4:30 pm, Thu by appointment only, Fri 10 am- 3 pm. Staff will offer additional in-person hours Mon-Fri as the need arises. Call before coming to the Extension office to insure staff are available.

Application process
Open membership in 4-H clubs within program guidelines. Enrollment required by Apr 1 annually for fair participation. Otherwise, youth can participate in 4-H programming year around.
Fee
Membership fees are $15-$16 annually. Potential for club dues varies. Cost associated with project work.
Eligibility
Richland County youth ages 5-18 based on a Jan 1 cut-off. Adult volunteers also needed. Cloverbuds: age 5 and in kindergarten on Jan 1. Regular (project) members: age 8 and in third grade on Jan 1 (youth age 9 on Jan 1, also eligible for regular project membership)
