Eligibility

*Provides free service to individuals with incomes no higher than 150% of the Federal Poverty Level (FPL). *Serves recipients of Supplemental Security Income (SSI) or veterans' disability benefits *Serves those who are enrolled in a drug or alcohol treatment program or who are currently attending a psychiatric partial hospitalization program. *Provides half the cost of a bike or repair if the customer's income is less than 200% of the federal poverty line or if the applicant is using a housing choice voucher.

Application process

Interested clients should contact a case worker at a social service provider they are working with and request that they make a referral to this program. Staff of the agency may assist individuals in applying. There may be a waiting list for this program.

Provides a cooperative bike education center. Takes donations of bicycles. Teaches bicycle repair, bicycle safety, and bike handling. The Pay What You Can program provides free and affordable refurbished bikes, bike repairs, and cycling accessories such as locks, helmets, and lights to individuals facing financial challenges.
