Juvenile Traffic Violations Bureau | Geauga County Court Of Common Pleas - Juvenile / Probate Division
Receives and reviews all juvenile traffic violations other than parking violations but including violations such as jaywalking and those dealing with skateboards. Also handles juvenile tobacco violations. After the citation is given, a court date is set at which the juvenile will enter his/her plea. If the juvenile pleads not guilty, then a trial before a magistrate is set. Hearings can be waived in some cases.

Hears cases involving the delinquency of persons under eighteen years of age and cases dealing with unruly, abused, neglected, and dependent children. The Juvenile Division also hears all traffic offenses committed by persons under eighteen years of age, and has jurisdiction in adult cases involving paternity, child abuse, nonsupport, and failure to send children to school.
