This office handles license / registration of contractors (general, electric, HVAC, fire), review of building plans to ensure compliance with code requirement (federal, state, and local codes), inspections of work in progress to ensure code compliance, review of citizen complaints regarding contractors, work performed improperly, etc. Permits such as building, electric, HVAC, sign, demolition, moving, fire detection and suppression, and swimming pools are issued through this office.
