Must be 18 years of age or older; enrolled in Medicaid or Medicaid-eligible; and receiving Social Security, SSI, and/or SSDI benefits. Individual must currently live in or planning to live in an adult care facility. Financial eligibility is determined by local County Department of Job and Family Services (CDJFS), typical monthly income up to $1,800 to qualify for RSS.
Completed documents: RSS program application, RSS authorization for release of information, and ODJFS form 07120. Other documents may be requested as needed.

Individuals use Residential State Supplement (RSS) to supplement income, to pay the monthly allowable fee (or "rent") for accommodations, supervision, and personal care services at approved living arrangements in the community. Individuals use the supplement along with their Social Security, SSI, and/or SSDI.
