Seeks to ensure that Medicare beneficiaries with limited incomes and resources know about and make the best use of all available resources for reducing the costs of prescription drugs. Offers an information line to help people understand, compare and sign-up for the Medicare Part D Prescription Drug Benefit and the Low Income Subsidy. Works with beneficiaries to resolve Medicare Part D problems. Also helps those who are already receiving Medicare Part D benefits and want to select a different plan for the next calendar year. Also offers benefits screening for other government programs through Benefits Check-up.
