Upward Bound | Wittenberg University

Programs are funded by the Federal Department of Education. To assist low income high school students and potential first-generation college students in preparing for education beyond the high school level. Services include tutoring, counseling, assistance with college and financial aid applications, and a residential summer program.

Must be recommended by a teacher, have parents have not received a bachelor's degree, be a citizen of the USA, enrolled in a target area school and be in the 9th, 10th, or 11th grade.

Service for students and alumni include career counseling and placement, graduate admissions testing, job information, and small groups career workshops. The Community Education Department offers a wide variety of classes for the community, as well as a camp for gifted and talented 5th, 6th, and 7th graders. Provides student volunteers to local service organizations.
