Contacts deployed military personnel on behalf of families experiencing an event which requires an urgent communication such as a death, illness, or birth of a child. Assists with emergency leave verification and basic information and referral. Provides access to emergency funds available through the various military aid societies (Army Emergency Relief, Navy Marine Corps Relief Society, Air Force Aid Society, and the Coast Guard Mutual Assistance). Assists with acquiring funds which can be used for a variety of purposes such as burial of a loved one, emergency travel, and emergency food and shelter. NOTE: Assistance may come in the form of a loan or grant.

Eligibility
Serves active and retired military personnel from any branch of the military and their immediate family members. Retired persons must be receiving retirement benefits from the military branch that they served under. Reservists must be on federally declared active duty.
