Any past balance owed must be paid in full before AMHA can offer housing. Applicants with a past eviction are not eligible. - Individuals and families can apply through the management office and/or online by visiting the Akron Metropolitan Housing Authority (AMHA) website. Call the management office for details. - Individuals and families can apply for housing online by visiting the AMHA website at www.akronhousing.org and following the instructions for submitting a Preliminary Application. - Once a Preliminary Application has been submitted online, the applicant will be provided with a confirmation number as proof of the date and time of their application. - When applicants are near the top of the wait list for any program that they have applied for, they will be notified by mail to attend an orientation and complete a full application. - Persons with disabilities needing assistance should contact the AMHA Reasonable Accommodations Coordinator at 330-762-9631.
