Eligibility
- Serves homeowners age 62 and over in Summit County whose income is less than 80% AMI. Must be current on property taxes and not at risk of foreclosure.
- Must not have been served by Habitat for Humanity's Aging in Place or Home Repair programs in the past.
Required documents
Completed application, photo ID, proof of household income for all adults (such as 2 months of pay stubs, SSI, disability, or pension statements), proof of mortgage (if applicable), and proof of homeowners insurance.
Hours
Application period ends when all slots are full. Renovations may be completed in 2026 or 2027, depending on scheduling.

Offers interior home repairs and accessibility modifications designed to increase senior homeowner's ability to live independently as they age. Completes home modifications such as replacing toilets with ADA height models, tub cuts, removing or replacing kitchen cabinetry or hardware, replacing or adjusting positioning of bathroom mirror and/or toilet paper holder, installing handrails on steps/pathways, adding or replacing house numbers, installing a curved shower rod, installing grab bars, replacing doorknobs or handles, providing fire extinguishers and/or installing CO and smoke detectors, replacing door locks, installing exterior motion solar powered security lights, and installing a new mailbox or adjusting mailbox height.
