Enforces laws and ordnances related to dogs including dogs that meet one of the following criteria: *Without provocation chased or approached a person in either a menacing fashion or an apparent attitude of attack or has attempted to bite or otherwise endanger any person. *Caused injury to any person. *Killed another dog. *Violated confinement/leash laws on multiple occasions. *Dog at large on major roadway (50+ speed limit). *Sick or injured stray dogs.

Fairfield County Dog Adoption Center And Shelter

It is the purpose of the Fairfield County Dog Adoption Center & Shelter to keep lost and stray dogs safe until they can find their way home, to care for the adoptable dogs until they find their forever homes, to protect Fairfield County through the enforcement of Section 955 of the Ohio Revised Code, and to continue to provide the community with education opportunities on the importance of pet safety, state laws regarding dog ownership, and population control.
