The Ombudsman Office is a final resource after individuals look for help through other customer service avenues. Before contacting the Ombudsman:
- borrowers concerned about federal student loans should contact their loan holder
- current students should contact their financial aid office

Application process
Requests to escalate a complaint to the Ombudsman Office may be submitted online, by mail, or phone.
