Offers a range of consulting services in areas such as: - Customized Board Training: Customized board training presentations to address the particular and timely concerns and issues facing a nonprofit. Specific topics include the role and responsibilities of serving on a board, best practices in nonprofit governance, leadership succession planning and the roles of advisory boards. - Board Consulting: Conducts board consultations for board and staff leaders of nonprofit organizations. The board assessment process engages the full board in a discussion around the best practices in governance. BVU then prepares recommendations and facilitates a process with the board to strengthen its own performance. - Leadership Succession Consulting: Provides leadership succession and transition planning consulting for nonprofit staff and boards, including the development of emergency succession plans, long range staff succession plans and board succession plans. - Operational Consulting: Engagement of volunteer consultants, financial management, technology, marketing, legal and human resources.
