Serves Ohio residents who are veterans who are within 30 days of release from incarceration or who are on community control (parole).
Proof of service: DD-214 (discharge status) or Veterans Affairs (VA) card proof of legal status (probation or release papers). Agency will advise on any further required documents.

Description

Provides employment and reentry services to help veterans who have been recently released from incarceration. Clients are linked to appropriate community services based on their situation and need. Clients in this program may receive limited cash assistance to help them become self sufficient. The program is a 16-week peer/mentor guided assistance in connecting to resource providers, while receiving guidance that promotes pro-social behavior. The program is goal-oriented to lead clients to a healthy, productive lifestyle. While participating in this program veterans are able to request monetary assistance with housing, utilities, food, and clothing.
