Prevention, Retention, Contingency (PRC) | Lucas County Job And Family Services

Eligibility

1) Applicant must be employed and consistently working 20 hours per week; 2) Resident of Lucas County; 3) Assistance group must have at least one minor child in their care or a verified pregnancy.(Non-custodial parents with established paternity, who are compliant with the Child Support Services Agency may be eligible for specific voucher services, please ask during call); 4) Total Gross income of all household members is under 200% Federal Poverty Level (income limits on application).

Required documents

A completed application Photo ID of household members Social Security numbers and birth certificates for all household members all gross income received in the household 30-days prior to the application date.

The PRC Program is designed to provide benefits and services to needy families and low income employed families to help move out of poverty and become self-sufficient. PRC support is short term and is not intended to meet ongoing needs. If eligible for PRC benefits, a voucher is issued for the service and paid to then vendor providing the service. Voucher services available for car repairs, employment materials (tools/equipment, uniforms/footwear, professional licensure/testing fees), GED fee payment assistance, and utility assistance (primary heat source, electric, water).
